# Wave Books

> An offline audiobook player for iPhone. Import and listen to your own DRM-free audiobooks — no subscription, no account, no tracking. Your audiobooks stay on your device.

Wave Books is a personal, offline-first audiobook library for iOS. It plays DRM-free
M4B, M4A, and MP3 files you already own. Import from local Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop,
"Open In", or external storage. Playback works fully offline once a book is on the
device. AudiobookShelf and Jellyfin server connections are coming soon.

## What it does
- Plays DRM-free audiobooks (M4B / M4A / MP3). DRM-protected files are not supported.
- Offline listening: import or download once, then listen with no network connection.
- iCloud Drive discovery: import audiobook files you place in the Wave Books iCloud folder (it does not sync your whole library automatically).
- Self-hosted servers: AudiobookShelf and Jellyfin connections are planned and coming soon.
- Player: adjustable speed, skip time, chapters, bookmarks, and AirPlay.

## Privacy
- No account required and no subscription.
- No third-party ad networks and no cross-app tracking.
- Crash and basic usage/performance data are collected via self-hosted software, kept on servers the developer runs, not shared with third parties, and never used for advertising.
- A one-time purchase removes the app's own house ads.
